Make room for what’s next

Most of us accumulate clutter and are overwhelmed by stuff that is not essential to living our best lives. Intentionally creating space to embrace life more fully in retirement means clearing out some of that clutter.

This includes physical things we may no longer need or want, but just as important is the non-physical clutter - emotional, mental, relationship, energetic - that takes up valuable space and no longer serves us.

So, as Peggy Fitzsimmons writes in this article, if you “long for more feeling at home in yourself and more feeling at home in your home then it’s time to let go of some clutter” and throw a “Release Party”! Her practical strategies are offered in a gentle and loving way that remind us of the drawbacks of holding on and that if we don’t let go, we can’t make room for our true selves and what’s important to us now.
