As a coach, I truly believe that an important part of creating a fulfilling life at any age or stage is having a clear life purpose with goals that align with our values. This is even more important when we stop full-time work, then our purpose can change or express itself in a new way. If we don’t take time to think about what brings meaning to us now, we risk becoming dissatisfied with our retirement life.

A new study from the Barcelona Brain Health Initiative demonstrates for the first time that having a clear life purpose is more than just feeling fulfilled and satisfied with life, it actually promotes resilience to brain damage caused by aging. Even more reason to spend some time connecting to and sharing our unique gifts and passions!

What brings value and meaning to your life? Why were you born at this time in history? What do you have to offer your community and the wider world now?
